From Ignite Emerges CrossFit

CrossFit Ignite Sydney operates from a trendy inner city 1st floor warehouse with polished floor boards. Not your usual CrossFit box.

Like so many who have ‘seen the light’ called CrossFit, we have come from the mundane traditional exercise background and as a result our facility still has some of the remnants of that. However, we have a vision to rid ourselves of the old and bring with us the new. CrossFit Ignite Sydney is evolving into a fully fledged CrossFit facility.

Currently we run CrossFit programming through our convenient, ‘when it suits you’ unlimited session model. We find the flexibility of this model works well for the busy inner city professional who is desperately trying to find a balance between work and everything else.

We are not saying that our system is better than the normal class structure run by most CrossFit facilities, it’s just different and will appeal to a different type of person looking for a different type of CrossFit experience.

Every CrossFit box is different, perfect in its own way and attracts its own dedicated tribe of followers because of what makes it special. I encourage you to check out a few different CrossFit facilities and find the one that’s right for you.





CFIS to the CrossFit Games

The_Athletes

Both CrossFit Ignite Sydney program directors Nadine and Darren competed in the Australiasian CrossFit Games Qualifiers at CrossFit Effects on April 4-5th placing 2nd and 9th respectively against a tough field. Nadine qualified as one of two women from Australasia to travel to California in July to compete at the hot and dusty CrossFit Games. Darren (never one to miss out) will act as Nadine’s coach and will be representing Sydney in the Affiliate Cup Team Challenge at the Games.

The CrossFit Games is known as the ultimate test of fitness. A grueling two-day competition in which the world’s fittest athletes compete in a variety of workouts. What are the workouts? Each year they change, and the details are not announced until a couple days before the event. This means that the athletes are training for a competition whose format is almost completely a mystery.

We wish them the very best of luck as we know they will do us proud.
